What are the rules?
The California State Athletic Commission agreed to sanction this event, but only with some strict conditions being imposed.
There will be eight, two-minute rounds of action, with the boxers wearing 12-ounce gloves and no headguards.
The referee, Ray Corona, has been told to stop the fighters from knocking each other out and stop things if there is a serious cut.
Good luck with that.
For their part, Tyson and Jones have both talked a good game.
“I’m pitching punches, everything else is up to Roy,” Tyson said.
“If I am running anywhere, I am running right at him.”
Roy Jones, meanwhile, said they both want to beat each other up.
“I want to come out early, figure out my ways to attack him. He’s very dangerous when he’s at his distance,” Jones said.
“He knows my combinations, but not the speed or velocity. He won’t be knowing how I’m throwing them. We both want to beat each other up.”
